As a person I am absolutely into all kinds of gadgets, from kitchen appliances to mobiles apps that take over certain task from me fabulously.
THIS article in The Guardian rounds up a selection of available gadget on the market especially designed to new parents with the aim of making understanding babies and their needs easier.
As a mother however, I take pride in the fact that I am capable of taking care of my babies from the first second and this task I am not willing to give over to a machine.
As a doula I find it absolutely important that new parents feel confident, supported and capable of raising and taking care of their children and I feel machines and gadgets should not interfere with the build-up of this confidence.
